You stole my heart,
pulled it still beating,
ripped from my chest,
labored my breathing,
cut with a blade,
stomped and betrayed,
left behind like a doll,
Thats not what kills,
bothers or thrills,
the damage you do,
its much worse,
You still hold my heart,
tore it apart,
then gave yours to somebody new,
I know I'm not good,
I know I've done wrong,
Have you forgotten our song?
Rubbed in my face,
left in disgrace,
for something new,
better for you.
Don't rub it in,
I see in your grin,
the sinister look of joy,
I'm just your game,
make me feel lame,
I knew I was only a toy.
Cast aside,
I try to hide,
as you show me that you've moved on.
I'm still stuck,
down on my luck,
but I'll smile as you dance in the rain.
You might not be mine,
for tonight thats fine,
and one day I'll be gone too.

hope falls from the wings of angels,
landing gently on our shoulders.
there to remind us, it will be ok.
